In the Insert>Special Characters>Accents menu, all of the accents are given for upper case letters (with the exception of "ç with cedilla" and "æ ligature," which are given as both upper and lower case). Why? How is one to get the lower case versions of accented letters from this menu? I know most of the keyboard shortcuts for these but don't understand why most of the accents here are for upper case letters only. Is there a way to toggle this menu back and forth from upper to lower case?

Maybe only the most common accents were included in this menu, but you can access every character via the “Edit > Special Characters…” character palette.

Re: inserting lower case accents via the menu
Thanks. Yes, I know I can find them in the "Edit > Special Characters” character palette, but that is so much more cumbersome. I would have thought that lower case letters with accents would be more plentiful than upper case accented letters (most of the ones I use are lower case). I love the idea of the menu for special characters; it just seemed a strange choice to limit the "Accents" sub-menu to upper case letters.
