footnotes and italicized book titles

I'm using Bookends for (Turabian) citations, and have already contacted them. I cannot get my footnotes to italicize the title of a book. I'm using Times font, have my style sets set to accept italics with F2, have my biblio. prefs. set to Normal (C) for italics. I still cannot get italicized book names when footnotes are generated. Any ideas what I'm overlooking? Everything seems to be set OK in Bookends.
