copy and paste between Mellel docs loses formatting

I am copying text between two Mellel docs (it would be great to be able to have a "split" screen for this). Both docs have identical style sets. However, when I copy, the italics from the first doesn't paste to the second. The same fonts are used in both, and I have implemented italics with the F3 key, not with Cmd + I.

Any ideas why this happens, and how it can be prevented?

Copy and pasting different font variations between two Mellel docs works fine on my computer. Both methods (F-keys and CMD+B I U) work without a problem. Could you try this on a newly created document and with another font? I guess it’s either a problem with your style set or with your font or font cache.
