File locked

I had a little problem last week and Mellel crashed on me when I was fiddling around with mentions. Since then, whenever I try to save the file that was open at the time, I get a message "The file <filename> is locked". I checked the file information for both the file itself and the styleset, they don't seem to be locked.

This is kind of worrying, does anybody know the problem?

Are you able to save the file with a different name (File > Save as…)? If so, you could trash the locked file and rename the new one to the old name. I don’t know what happened when Mellel crashed, but this may be a workaround.

Have you tried to unlock it via "Get Info"? Go to the Finder, and to the File, ctrl + click it, go to "Get Info." At the bottom it shows permissions and also whether it's locked or not (a padlock icon). You can lock/unlock it, and set permissions there.
