I need export my Mellel files to a Layout application like InDesign or iCalamus, because layout need too much complex for Mellel.
Is it possible without loosing any footnote, text attribute and so on?
The export < MSWord does not work on my computer: I loose all footnotes.
Thank you very much

Have you tried to export the document as rtf? Exported as rtf should maintain and preserve the footnotes etc.

Where did you open the rtf to see if the footnotes were present? They should show up in Word (for example), but won't show up in TextEdit because it doesn't support footnotes.

I open RTF files with Nisus Writer Pro, which reads RTF and reads footnots (if existing)

Then that's weird.
One thing you might try: you could check with Word or NeoOffice or Open Office, just to make sure it's not something specific to Nisus Writer's rtf support.

You probably make an incorrect step there, as Mellel DOES export footnotes if you choose RTF format. Cannot figure out what is wrong there with your export.gnoli wrote:I open RTF files with Nisus Writer Pro, which reads RTF and reads footnots (if existing)
