.mellel -> html
I need to work on a book with simple formatting, internal links, PDF and HTML as last output.
Mellel is ok for the PDF, but exporting in RTF to try after a HTML conversion, I lost the internal links.
Is there a way to have a HTML output and links from a .mellel file?

You might want to try Stephen Still’s exporter. Check out his thread:

That would be because I put it together before cross-referencing was in Mellel. I will have a look at it over the Australia Day long weekend and see if I can't get that working.
Offers of beer would, of course, expedite this.

Well, good news!That would be because I put it together before cross-referencing was in Mellel. I will have a look at it over the Australia Day long weekend and see if I can't get that working.
Actually (thanks to Rosenau!) I tried the .mellel -> mmd -> xhtml exporting that has good results.
The limit I have seen yesterday using this way, is that the name of the hyperlink has to be the same name of the heading. But I'm still testing and here and there, I found some other little problems (appling a variation G inside the cross-references windows do not work during the mmd translation).
I'll be happy to test your version too.
Are you sure? Usually alcool creates strange codeOffers of beer would, of course, expedite this.

Strange, but beautiful (in the way that many things are beautiful after half a dozen beers).fbrzvnrnd wrote:Are you sure? Usually alcool creates strange codeOffers of beer would, of course, expedite this.

Re: .mellel -> html
As an update, I've now got pretty substantial preliminary support for cross-references in the HEAD version of the stylesheet (at http://cinaedulus.org/svn/mellel2html). There are still some kinks and some bits which are lacking support, but I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who felt inclined to give it a try. I'm aiming to have something a bit more final in the next week or so.

I'll be happy to test it, but I do not know how to use the .xsl file I downloaded.

Re: .mellel -> html
Sorry f,
Easiest way would be to download:
http://still.id.au/Mellel%20HTML%20Exporter.zip
Run the Mellel XSLT Export Runner script, select the document you want to transform, and then the xslt stylesheet enclosed with the download. This should work with both compressed and uncompressed mellel xml.
Let me know if you have any problems!

Re: .mellel -> html
Hi Stephen,
thanks for your work. But sadly cross refs are also not working here, not even is their text there.
Also auto-titles are not exported correctly.
(Mac OS X 10.4.11)
best regards

Re: .mellel -> html
Any chance that I can get cut down sample documents to play around with?
Reiner: none of the cross-reference text is showing up? What kind of cross-references are you using? What exactly is wrong with the exporting of auto-titles?
fbrzvnrnd: I take it that your cross-reference text is showing up, but that hyperlinks between the cross-reference and the auto-title are not working as expected?

Hi,
yes, as you can see in the file I attach in the example, the word 'please' has to be an hyperlink. But after exporting in html it is not.
