Esperanto dictionary working in Mellel

For quite a while after the appearance of the more recent versions of Mac OS X., there was no Esperanto dictionary available for use with the computer that functioned satisfactorily. More recently, however, I discovered that there is a new version of Cocoa Aspell which not only works with Snow Leopard, but also has an up to date Esperanto dictionary available for it. The new version of the Esperanto dictionary uses Unicode and it works extremely well with Mellel. You can find it by searching for Cocoa Aspell with Google, downloading and installing it, and then from the same webpage clicking on the part which directs you to additional dictionaries.

After you install the dictionary, you will need to quit Mellel and reopen it, for it to appear in the dictionaries available to Mellel.

As has already been noted in this forum, the Automatic by Language part of Apple's spellchecking system does not work with Mellel, so you must choose the Esperanto dictionary in the spellchecker window in order to use it with an Esperanto text in Mellel.
