Large blank areas on page
I have to file a brief in federal court today and am at my wits' end how to close up blank spaces on the page. This occurs when I have a long series of footnotes. Perhaps the footnotes "think" they have to stay together. Ideas?

If the problem is indeed being caused by footnotes "thinking" they need to stay together, try Insert > Note > Edit note attributes… and make sure "May split" is set to "Anywhere" (or "Between paragraphs," if you wish).
