Scanning document (with Sente) won't complete

I'm using Mellel 3.0.3 and Sente 6.6.0 and cannot successfully scan my document. After I initiate the scan I get a popup window that states, "Scanning document...." but it never completes (nor gives an error message). I've searched on the board to try and find a solution but can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem. If anyone can even help me with how to start diagnosing the issue I'd be very grateful.

Did you purchase Mellel via the Mac App Store? When version of Mac OS are you using?

Sente 6.6 is currently a "Preview" edition. The latest official release is 6.5.18. If the problem doesn't occur in the official release, I'd expect this to be a Sente issue and not a Mellel issue - at least for now.

I did not purchase via the App Store (I started using Mellel long before) and am using Mac OS 10.8.2.

The only reason I wonder if it's not a Sente issue is that citing and scanning between Sente and Word works just fine. It's only Mellel that has a problem. (I did post this issue on that support forum too.) If anyone knows of a way to diagnose whether it's a Mellel or Sente problem, that'd be a great start.

Sounds like it could be the same issue discussed at the bottom of this thread: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2707.

In short, it's an OS X issue, and you can fix it by logging out and back in.
