New Service, forgot my code

Post by Eyal Redler »

We've just launched a new service to allow retrieving lost Mellel registration codes. The idea is simple: enter your email and our server will automatically look up your code and send it to you via email.
We would appreciate if you have the time to test the new service (even if you didn't lose your registration code) and let us know if you encountered any difficulties or have any other comment on the service.
To access the service go to:http://forgotmycode.mellel.com/

Note, if you click the link and end up in a regular form, this may be due to some DNS caching issues, try again later.

I tested the service as well, but never received any email, even though the website could verify the e-mail address I'd entered:
A matching code was found, and the registration code was sent to

I can see your entry in the log, it mailed it to an email address ending with .it. Is this address the one you're pulling mail from?
Could it be that the email was somehow marked as spam and moved to a spam folder?

I have checked the spam folder both on my computer and at the mailserver, but I can not find the email anywhere.

Should the sender of the email be an address from redlers dot com or mellel dot com? I could try to change the the rules in the spam filter and see if it has to do with the filter or not.

System worked great, but registration code from email is different from registration code recorded within Mellel 3.3 on my computer. Not sure that matters, but it was a bit of a surprise.

Hi Bil,

Can you tell me the part of your email following the @ sign?

It works instantly and I receive no less than two different codes in the same mail, none of which correspond to the valid one. Is this as it would be?

It should give you your up-to-date code of-course. But it looks like the database is not fully up-to-date.

It sent me two codes as well. Can the message that is sent be modified to include the Mellel version the code is for?

I don't think it will be possible. I'm afraid your only option here is to try both and which one works...
