Lack of Quick Preview option

I have recently upgraded my hardware to MacBookPro with OS 10.9 Mavericks.
I previously used MacBook with Snow Leopard.
I now note that with several applications, when I command PRINT, the dialog box does not provide me any more with the QUICK PREVIEW option.
So far the culprits are MELLEL, FIREFOX and SEAMONKEY (latter is from Mozilla stable).
This means I cannot have a print preview of Hebrew documents, e-mails and web pages.

The QUICK PREVIEW option is proudly provided by Safari, Word, Excel, PDF and by all other applications I use.

I am using Epson and Brother printers and the problem effects both.

Can anybody please suggest a remedy, namely a way to have a look-see at Mellel documents before they are printed?

Many tks

Abe

You can use the Print Preview or from the PDF menu to Open the PDF in Preview, and then print it from Preview that way.

Thank you. I have tried it and it works, though I prefer the mini presentation in the dialog box.
What can you suggest for print preview of email and web pages?

The PDF menu is in the print dialog of every application that uses the system print engine. So, it's there for everything you'd need to print.
