Hello, I use Brazilian Portuguese as my default language. Although my keyboard is configured to that language I still need some special character since I use a lot of Dutch in my texts. In the special character list I only find upper-case ones. How can I make them small case and in the same font style as the rest of the text?
Thank you for your attention!

Re: special character upper-case
Lucia, I've never seen a problem similar to yours -- I can always find all the characters I need using the Special Characters Viewer.
For example, capital U with diaeresis is in the Unicode Latin-1 Supplement list, 00DC; small u with diaeresis is 00FC
I use an American English keyboard. The two diaeresis dots are available on that keyboard using the alt key.
I get Ü by typing alt-u followed by shift-u, and ü by typing alt-u followed by lower-case u.
As a check, I installed the Brazil ABNT2 keyboard. I found the two diaeresis dots on shrift-6
So, I assume, you can get ü by typing shift-6 followed by lower-case u
Am I correct?
