Mellel and Pages

What is the best way of getting a Pages document into Mellel? Export the Pages document as a Word document and then import that into Mellel? Or should I exported as a RTF and then bring it into Mellel?

RTF will be your best bet. Word support is OS dependent, and different OS X versions support different features. However, Mellel's RTF support is not OS dependent, so that's always your best option.
