Hi,
I'm new here and having some trouble figuring something out.
I am trying to create a document that is just going to be images and their captions. Each image will be on a separate page and I would like a caption beneath it.
Here's my problem. A number of the images I have need to be oriented landscape on the page. I would also need the caption to be oriented the same way. Is there not a way to rotate an image once it is inserted into a document?
Also is there not a way to insert a text box that can be rotated?

No, that is not currently possible without some creative workarounds. You can rotate the image in Preview before pasting into Mellel. But for the other parts, there really isn't an easy way to achieve that.

Actually, you can mix landscape and portrait pages in the same document, but it is awkward
1. define two page styles, one with landscape orientation and one with portrait
2. begin your work with the first style [say landscape]
3. when you need to switch orientations, Insert/Breaks/Page style break and select the second [portrait] style for this page
and so on
Note: you will have to manage things like page numbers manually, setting a new starting number ad hoc everytime you change the page style.
