Select all of a document style

Hi there,
I imported a Word doc which is a mess, especially with its styles management. Body of text and footnotes were imported as document styles, either in character or paragraph.
Now, I would like to select all body text of this document style and make it the regular style from the style set. And likewise with footnotes. How do I do this?
That is: 1. How do I select all occurrences of a document style? or 2. How do I change all texts in a document style into a style of a style set.
