Could you give more details -- I tried to duplicate the problem, but failed.
I'm running Mellel 3.5.0b18 with El Capitan 10.11.6

I did also, after reading you reply, and the problem seems to be gone!
I'll keep watching for a eventual repeat and try to document it better for you reference.

I'm also running Mellel 3.5.0b18 but with Yosemite 10.10.5.
