Mellel for iPad - Incomplete Saves

I have been using Mellel on my iPad for awhile and really like the capabilities and how they are accessed.

However, I've run into one persistent problem - if I close a document (hit the x in the circle, upper left of the screen) the file that is saved is often missing the last few lines of text - sometimes 2 or 3 lines, sometimes more (up to 10 lines).

There doesn't seem to be a specific "save" function on the iPad, as there is on the Mac version. I would feel much safer if there was. For now, I copy the last page or so, close the document, re-open it, replace the missing text, and then close it again. It seems to get everything the second time around, but that is a clunky and poor solution.

I'm running current versions of Mellel on both my iPad and Mac, and have up to date OSs on both as well. In all cases, I opening and closing files that are stored in iCloud.

Am I missing something?

Cheers....GeoEng51

HI GeoEng51,

You've not missing anything. On iOS the document is always saved and you are not supposed to perform any special action to preserve any edit you make to the document at any time. It is not clear to me what's causing this but here are a few things to check/answer
1. Does this happen with any document on your iOS machine or only a specific document. If the problem is specific to a document, perhaps you can duplicate the document and try working on the duplicate, does the problem happen with the duplicate as well? If so then maybe there's something strange with the documents content (send it to us if you will and we'll have look)
2. Is iCloud turned on? Could it be that you have the document open on multiple devices (on your mac, for example), maybe there's a conflict there?

Answers to your questions:

1. It happens with every document that I create on my iPad - if I close the document, I'm missing a few lines of text at the end of the document.
2. iCloud is turned on, on my iPad and the document is created and only open on my iPad. If I close it, I can open it using Mellel on my computer.

I'm not doing anything weird or odd with these documents - just creating and then closing one on the iPad and in some cases opening it on my computer. But whether I open it on my computer or reopen it on my iPad, I'm missing bits of text at the end of the document.
