Different character style variation for lists

Post by Moises Zumaeta »

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question about the character attributes for lists. I know that when I am creating a set of lists I can choose a character style and a character variation. The problem with this is that it forces me to create several sets of the same kind with different variations. What I would like to do with my lists is the same things I do with the text in general. For example when I create a character style I use different variations for my style (Base, A, B, C, D, etc), hence the only thing I should do in the body of my text is use the function keys to switch to the desired variation (I really love this feature!). I would like to do the same with the numbers in my list. Rather than create different lists, I would like to have one set of list (number, harvard, etc) which numbers' attributes could be changed with the function keys. In other words I would like to have a Base, A, B, C, etc attributes for the numbers of my list that I can change as desired with the function keys. Is there a way to do this intuitively? I have tried to find a solution in the forum, but I could not find anything. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
