How to reinstall

Hi all, I know this is a very simple question but I am not a computer person. I recently updated my Mellel to version 4? (Maybe a month ago or so I did a paid upgrade, the first time I had to do that). I have never had a problem with Mellel until recently. I couldn't figure out why and then I thought it had to do with my Mac OS. I hadn't updated that in quite a while. So, I upgraded to High Sierra hoping that would make my latest mellel update work. It did not. Every few days the update automatically pops up and I go through the prompts and it says it will restart itself and then nothing happens. So I thought I should uninstall and reinstall. Unfortunately I am really incompetent and don't know how to do that. Sending an app to the trash uninstalls it? If so how do I reinstall. Thanks for any help folks!

It should be easy enough to reinstall the application:

1) First, go to the website and enter your e-mail address to download the installer: https://www.mellel.com/download/

2) Double-click on the mellel_40305.dmg file that you have just downloaded to open it

3) In the blue window that appears, click on the "Mellel" icon and drag it over to the "Applications" folder in the same blue window

4) The latest version should be installed - you may need to enter your serial number again to activate it if you did a complete reinstall of the operating system

You asked if uninstalling applications on MacOS is as simple as dragging them to the trash. The answer is that sometimes this is enough but sometimes you need an uninstaller application or need to follow a few additional steps to completely uninstall an application. It's best to check on the manufacturer's website first to see if anything more is needed than dragging the application to the trash before uninstalling an application. Good luck!
