Hi,
I have a long document with bibliography and footnotes generated by mellel+bookends. After scanning, some words within footnotes become "superscripted". I don't know why, but is there a way to search for words in superscript?
Blessings,

Re: Searching for words typed in superscript?
Are you saying, you have the citations in footnotes?
What words become superscripted? Are these words a part of a citation?
Check your citation definition in Bookends Format Manager.
Do you see any "^" (without the quotes) there? ^ at the beginning and the end of a field causes the field content after scanning to become superscripted.
Some reference styles require the edition number to precede the date in a superscripted form. In Bookends Format Manager this would then look like this:
^u2^d
whereas u2 is the edition field. After scanning this could then look like this, for example: 41980 (with 4 superscripted; I don't see a way to superscript text in this forum.)

Have you tried to insert 'Anything' into the Find box and then choose Superscript from the "Position" pop-up menu in the Character pane > Attributes?is there a way to search for words in superscript?
