Reference in Index record - inconsistant see/see also

Hi,

I spotted what seems to be an inconsistent behavior in generating an index with references inside an index record.
Mellel's manual says that, when generating the index, it will automatically choose between "see" and "see also" in formatting the reference.
- a "See" prefix is used when the referencing record has no Index Marks associated with it
- A "See Also" prefix is used when the referencing record has at least one Index Mark associated with it

Now, here is an extract of an index I've just generated. The record is in bold. "See" references have "Cf." as prefix. "See also" references are in (Cf. ). The third record is a child of the second.
Feu et chaleur : 132, 238, 302, 436. Cf. Acte double
Fin. Cf. Appétit. Cf. Cause finale. Cf. Inclination naturelle. Cf. τέλος
assimile ce qu’elle attire : 449-450 (Cf. Assimilation au bien universel)

1. Feu et chaleur has index marks, so it should be "see also".
2. Fin has no index mark and it is rightly a "see"
3. assimile ce qu’elle attire has index mark, so it is a "see also"

Why are 1 and 3 treated differently? Is it Mellel or me?

Thanks for your help.

Manu

because "assimile ce qu’elle attire" is a subrecord, it uses a different format than "Feu et chaleur" which is a main record.
Open the index attributes panel go to the "See, See Also" tab, the bottom two fields represent the format for a reference from a main record and the format for a reference from a sub-record.
