I need to create a landscape formatted table in the middle of a large portrait formatted document.
How do you change the orientation of a single page?

I have page styles for front matter (page numbers i, ii, ..), main text (page numbers 1, 2...), and main-text horizontal. If at a point in the main text I want to have a horizontal figure or table, I insert a page-style break, go to the new page, do a couple of carriage returns, and insert another page-style break. I then apply the horizontal page style to the newly added area between the two page-style breaks and reapply the normal page style to the pages following that new area. I then go back to the new area, insert a figure or table, and neaten up. I just tested this again and it worked fine.
