Problems with footnotes

Hello!
I have got a problem with my footnotes. Every time I create a footnote the point of the note symbol is in front of the symbol instead behind of it. And so is every point at the end of a sentence, as if the writing direction were from right to left (which is not).
In the main text everything is okay.
Han anyone experienced such a problem?
