Style variations in notes

Post by laup »

Style variations do not appear to work in my footnotes. I am using Bookman 10 for the footnote. When I hit, say, F2 to make something bold in the note, the window at the top claims that the selection is now bold, but it is not. This is with an iMac, but also with a PowerBook. Is this an unfortunate feature, a bug, or something I'm doing?

I have never run into this problem. It must have to do with something you are doing or failing to do.

You should have in your Paragraph Menu an item named Footnote or Note.

Take a look at the edit window for your footnote paragraph style -- if you have one -- and make sure the character style chosen is Bookman.

It's possible that you do not have a footnote paragraph style and consequently Mellel does not know to use the Bookman font for it. Check in either the paragraph styles set in Edit Style sets or in the the Paragraph Menu to make sure you have a style called either Footnote or Note.
