I'm sure you can replicate something like this in Mellel, but is there a relatively easy way of doing it?
can you make a table look like this?

1.I suggest you make a table of 6 columns and 3 rows.
2. On the line above the table place the title as an autotitle.
3. In the first row, only, merge the last three columns.
4 In the first row, type in the titles (Economy, GDP Growth, etc.) in their respective columns in the first row. In the merged columns type Share contributed by, under those words a line, and under the line using tabs (remember to use a tab in a table you must press option-tab) put the three subdivisions.
5. In the second row type the appropriate bits for each column. Use the margin indent to indent the country names in column 1.
6. In the bottom row merge all the cells, then type in your material as desired.
7. Make the top line of the third line visible as desired.
