It seems to me that I am doing something wrong but until now am not able to discover what it is.
I am writing an article that needs to have a specific number of pages so I have to continually check the length of my document. Since the article has a important number of footnotes I have inserted from BE all my citations (to the footnotes in Mellel) using the copy formatted form.
When traying to scan my article nothing happens. It is like the scan option is not working properly. I am sure that the problem is neither Mellel nor Bookends. However I cannot discover what my problem is. If somebody can help me I will be very greatful.
Thanks a lot
Problems to scan

When you choose "copy formatted", the citation is copies as text into Mellel and not as a citation object. Once you did that, the citation "forgets" that it is a citation, behaves like regular text and is therefore not detected when you choose "Scan".
What you need to do is insert the citation using "Copy citation" (or just drag them into the Mellel document). When you insert citations like that, the citations will retain their status as special objects and will enable a good scan.
