Footnotes that link in a PDF

It would be really great if...

When you created a PDF from a Mellel doc that contained footnotes, the reference symbols and note symbols were double-clickable and navigated to each other, as they do in an actual Mellel document.

The PDF spec supports linking, of course. Is there any way this could happen?
