Feature request: hide note streams

Dear Redlers,

The multiple footnote streams capability of Mellel is particularly useful to me when writing notes to myself during the composition of an article. But when I want to circulate a draft for feedback, I often do not want to delete or to print these notes. As it is now, deleting or printing are my only two choices, right? Would it be possible to add the option to "hide" a selected footnote stream? This option might perhaps be added to the placement area (possibly even the position drop down menu) in the Edit Note Attributes dialog box.

Thanks for considering this!

PEACE
Kerry

I second this request. A very good idea indeed.

Perhaps it could be implemented more generally as Conditional Text, on which see my request here: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php? ... 9188#p9188, which refers to an older one by ptram.

I would also support this request. I find it distracting in compact view in particular to have to read across footnotes at the bottom of each page. I would suggest either a dedicated button in the toolbar or a show/hide footnotes (etc.) option in the show menu at the bottom of the screen.

I'd also love to see this happen.

Me too (but this is another very 'old' request, and God only knows if we'll ever see it honored).

If it's possible to send people to the moon (even if it's a quite a while ago since the last time) I do not think it would not be to difficult to implement this feature in my primary word processor.
