Table lines thickness

Post by fliegenderrobert »

Hello,

I'm using Mellel 2.7 and have found that the behavior of the table line thickness has changed since 2.6.
In my table there are table lines with different thickness which get not printed accordingly into a PDF file.
Even reformatting the lines, deselecting the lines which are formatted correct and selecting the ones which need to be formatted in a different thickness, doesn't help.

Does anyone of you have made the same experience, or did I do a mistake? I have retried it several times, but no changes.
Best Regards

Robert, I was unable to duplicate the problem running Mellel 2.7.0 under OSX 10.5.8

Could you give us more info on the problem and/or send a small example.

Hi Janet,
I'll include the mellel file as well as the pdf file. Sorry, just discovered one is too big and the other not allowed.
Please find here the link to my me.com accont http://files.me.com/hlehr/hicf8b
and here for the mellel file http://files.me.com/hlehr/qdjbul
Building a new table from the scratch, the phenomen does not appear any more.
Maybe it is a conversion problem from version 2.6 to 2.7?

There seems to be a problem with older documents as you’ve suspected. While I could alter all the table lines in your Mellel file to my wishes (thickness, color…) some lines seem to be drawn incorrectly.
If I place the cursor into a cell with the thicker lines, the table inspector displays a thickness of 1pt, but if I re-select the 1pt option in the inspector, the thickness of the line changes to a thinner one.

So you may report this problem to the Redlers (support (at) redlers.com) along with a link to this thread (and the files). In the meantime, you should be able to re-format your table cells. At least it’s possible on my Mac (10.5.8, Mellel 2.7.1 build 1).
