I am pleased with Mellel's ability to have multiple streams of footnotes and endnotes.
However, it does not appear to be possible for a footnote to have its own footnotes (or endnotes). For my purposes, it would be fine for these "footnotes inside of footnotes" to be referencing a SEPARATE footnote or endnote stream.
Also, the additional of numbered marginalia notes (for printing, not just viewing) would be a great addition.
Thanks,
Harvey

I second the second-level footnote idea. In my case, working with end-of-page-notes and end-of text-notes in the same text (for different purposes), being able to refer from inside an end-of-page-note to an end-of text-note (for giving references etc.) would be a great progress.

Re: Feature request: Footnotes that can have their own footnotes
This is not exactly what the other users have asked for. The second footnote is still a regular reference to the main text.
