The way that Mellel handles line spacing is quite strange. I have found a thread on it, but no actual remedy was suggested.
Adjacent paragraphs with different line spacings don't play well together. Apparently, changing the linespacing within a paragraph affects the spacing between that paragraph and those above and below it! This seems strange to me. I would like document spacing to be defined by consistent line spacing, between ALL lines. I don't think the thesis office would be happy with the spacing.
Is there a way to change this behavior? MS Word and Nisus both handle spacing in a more predictable manner.
