Dear Mellel Community:
I am having a problem formatting page numbers in a 25-page document.
Here is what I need help with:
1. The title page without a page number - (I have figured this out)
2. The Table of Contents page with a roman numeral character
3. The first page of the body of my text to start with arabic number 1.
4. The bibliography without a page number
Can anyone help out a novice Mellel user here? I have read the Mellel manual, but it can be overwhelming and confusing!
Kind regards,
Ramone

Re: Formatting Page Numbers
The way I solve these kinds of problems is to first use the palettes "ad hoc" to set up the layout I wantRamone wrote:

Once things look OK, I will usually use Styles/Edit Styles to define [Page] styles which I can use again in the future
Use Insert/Breaks/Page Style Break to differentiate between title page, Table of contents, body, and bibliography.
Then set the page number format/starting number in each part using the Page palette
