Feature request : lines above and below titles

Post by moineau »

Hi,

would be great to add a simple feature to add lines above and below titles, across the whole page. Including in header / footer.

Just like in Pages.

Thanks !!

For headers and footers, you can do this. Just make a one-cell table in the header or footer with a border only on the bottom (or top). Then put your header or footer text in that table. For titles, I don't know that this can be done as it is.

If you make the title into an auto-title, you can set up the auto-title such that there is a reverse tab just before the right-hand margin. Make sure that there are no other tabs before the reverse tab. Then format the auto-title as (title)(tab). Select the (title)(tab) text to apply a character style in which the Line attribute is set to "Underline and Overline" (or a paragraph style associated with such a character style). This should create the desired effect.

If you're looking to center the title, add a center tab where you want it to be and format the auto-title as (tab)(title)(tab).
