feature request: line which seperates notestreams

Post by Augustin »

I like the feature of several notestreams. I would like to ask if it is possible Mellel to make a thin line between the streams of footnotes, just like the line which seperates the main text from the footnotes (May be this is already possible and I‘ve just overlooked it). Of course I could manually insert a line in the first footnote of the second stream on each page, but this line would jump around when I have to insert another footnote in one of the streams.

Agreed. A option to insert a line to separate out note streams would be very helpful. It would also be helpful to have some options around titling the note streams, especially if they are endnotes.

Thanks!

On this issue of notes, would it be possible to create a footnote with a reference symbol of 'none'? I see all kinds of options for the 'type' (e.g. arabic, asterisk, etc) but no 'none' option. And it needs to have no space. This may sound like counter productive, but sometimes I need the plain text without the notes. As long as the notes stay together I can always switch it.

Thanks!
