Request: Command-Number shortcut key for paragraph styles?

Post by macbookman »

I noticed that:

*Command-Number keys are used for character style shortcuts, and
*Command-Option-Number keys are used for paragraph style shortcuts

Any particular reason we can't use the simpler Command-Number for paragraph style shortcuts as well? For my script writing, I use paragraph formatting extensively, and hitting the three keys (as opposed to two) slows me down. Currently, I've gotten around this by setting up the style shortcuts through my System Preferences, but would love to do it directly from Mellel.

Thanks!

Again, Mellel rocks! I'm blown away how fast it is!

once again repeating it: I think the best would be if Mellel would have an interface for fully user-definable shortcuts. This would solve so many "problems" for us users and will not produce so much different feature requests related to missing shortcuts.

I could not agree more. User definable Short-Cuts should be an imprortant improvement. Why don't you create a poll for the question?

I’ve just created the poll for user-assignable keyboard shortcuts.
