The "show" pop-up (lower left of the window) should:

"Show" pop up as palette?

Post by mi.cy »

When changing more than one "show" setting, I have to repeatedly click on the "show" pop-up at the lower left of the window. I would much prefer a palette with check-boxes with the different "show" settings. Then I would only have to click to open the palette, and then click only once for every change in the show settings.

Alternatively, the "show" pop-up could stay open after a selection for another selection until I move the mouse away.

This seems more like something that should be in a menu than in a palette. But I see the drawback of the current behaviour. Does anyone have a smart solution?

I absolutely agree that the current behavior is awful. A menu seems the more natural solution to me, as I tend to see palettes as altering the styling/contents of text; but in any case I'm strongly against the show pop up as it is implemented now.
