Placing graphics

There seems to be a bug in Mellel 2.7 with placing graphics into a Mellel document on a version 10.4.11 iMac. Previously I have been able to place a graphic on a Mellel page by using Insert graphic and by drag and drop. Since upgrading to 2.7 I get stuck in a loop with this text message: Documenting rendering. At first I thought the problem was that the graphic was a .png, so I changed it to a .tiff. Same result.
This problem does not happen with 2.7 on my MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard.

You seem to have the same problem than I'm experiencing (http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2101). I contacted the Redlers and I have been told that there is indeed some problem with Tiger. They work to correct it "ASAP" ; )

There is some trouble under tiger but it should only effect using the "skip" wrap for floating image (rightmost). If you're experiencing something different, please contact our support so we can check this. A fix to the Tiger issues and others is in the works.

After missing the last couple of upgrades I finally downloaded 2.7. I wanted a quick overview of the new features so I downloaded the tutorial but was never able to open the Mellel version (link below).
I'm still running OS 10.4.3 and I had the same problem (rendering forever):
