Backup apparentyly lost on HD
Hi
I noticed my automatically-produced Mellel's backup file has disappeared. I cannot find it on my hard disk.
My platform is MacBook OS 10.6.6.
I do not know if it's gone for good or is just playing hide and seek with me.
Can anybody help please?
Tks

I'm assuming you looked in Application Support > Mellel > Backup. Why not use Spotlight and look for the folder?

Thank you.
I only used Spotlight, and I could not locate Mellel backups.
In fact I am also unable to find Application Support. Where do I find it, please?

Try looking in or Remember that ~ is a shortcut/reference to your own home directory, while ~[short username] is a reference to [short username]'s home directory.
Code: Select all
~/Library/Application Support/Mellel/Backup/
Code: Select all
/Users/[short username]/Library/Application Support/Mellel/Backup/

Thanks Mate!
You are spot on. It's all there!
May I ask you another one?
How do I break down a multi-page PDF document into single pages documents? I use Acrobat 7.0 Professional.
Best
Abe

I usually use Preview, but mostly because Acrobat 8 (and 7) don't seem to run properly on 10.6 for me.abe-ariel@013.net wrote:How do I break down a multi-page PDF document into single pages documents? I use Acrobat 7.0 Professional.

Re: Backup apparentyly lost on HD
How do you use Preview to break, say one 3-page PDF document into three one-page documents?

Re: Backup apparentyly lost on HD
Preview allows you to add and remove pages from a PDF, or you can print specific pages to PDF.
