Suggestions

Post by jeehyun »

Hi. I just start using Mellel lite for the first time.
Mellel controls long document very well and it has outline(navigation) feaure. I'm impressed with those two features.
I have some suggestions. These are just for convenience not critical thing.

1. Export with styles(outline)
I like to have .doc document that maintains edited styles like title and heading.

2. Smaller palette icon
I think palette icons are too big for the small laptop screen even if I use small icon without text.
What about simple and tiny icons?

3. Formatting bar under the tool bar
Switching between palettes is not so happy thing since I want to focus on contents.
I like to see formatting bar on the main screen for the faster control.
Of course I know how to split palettes but it's not sufficient for small screen.

4. Smaller "A" in the character palette
Big black A is distracting me. I think smaller A is better.
Moreover I think it does not have to exist because we will see realtime-effect on the document.

5. Better desinged icons in the styles palette
I see five icons in the character styles, paragraph styles and autotitle styles are a little ugly.
But this may be just my preference.

6. Picture shadowing effect
I cannot find shadow effect for the inserted picture.
Please add this feature.

Thanks.

Sorry. I found exported doc keeps styles.
I opened that file on Nisus writer. That software could not read styles.
I didn't know MS word actually can read that.
It's really great feature.
