Mellel 4 works via iCloud Drive with Mellel for the iPad. I just tested that and synchronization had occurred. Everything seems fine.
Is it still the case that Mellel does not work with Dropbox? Are they realistic plans to make it do so?

Perhaps I misunderstand you. I have plenty of Mellel files in my Dropbox which are accessible on several other computers. If you mean something other than this, I am curious.

What I am referring to is using Mellel on the iPad to access and edit files that were created on a regular Mac and then saved in Dropbox. Or vice versa. The synchronization between OS X and iOS works fine if the sharing mechanism is iCloud Drive, but--unless I have not cracked the code--not with Dropbox.
(I also have many Mellel files in Dropbox and work on them from multiple desktop or laptop computers).

Just to confirm that in my experience, iCloud Drive is the only cloud service Mellel for iPad supports (and not as well as it could -- I wish it created an alias to previously-opened documents). I do hope, however, that the new file management in the upcoming iOS 11 will allow Mellel to behave as a first-class citizen on the iPad.....
