How to locate an applied PARAGRAPH style?

Post by Manu31 »

Hi,

I do not understand how a text can be found according to its paragraph style. I see in the Manual that to find a text according to its character style, you open "Find and replace", then apply the character attributes you're looking for in the find text box. However this doesn't work with paragraph styles (the paragraph style you select does not apply where the cursor is in the Find text box, but where the cursor is in the main text.

This has to do with those diamond styles. Before replacing those styles, I want to know where and which parts of my text will be the target of this replacement.

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried File -> Replace styles?

Thanks for your answer. However, "Replace styles" is a step beyond what I want to do, which is basically to locate where the styles I want to replace are active, in order to know where my document will be affected when I replace the style. The search and replace function allows this for character styles, but, seemingly, not for paragraph styles. Which is unfortunate.

Thanks anyway.
