Sounds like dark mode is on the way in 5.2.
Always nice to see a new version of Mellel on the way.

A quick elaboration on what's just been said: the first issue of Mellel's new monthly newsletter announces that dark mode is on the way in version 5.2 before the end of the year. The newsletter also contains some details about how dark mode will look and work when it arrives.

Yes to dark mode! I would really love it if there was at least a dark template, but a full dark mode would be amazing. We spend hours writing theses and papers on this thing, it gets tiring for the eyes fast.
I am one of those who have made my own dark template, but on a 21" screen, there's still a big chunk of very bright elements to squint at. And tbh, the making of a template is so laboursome, that I can't really be asked to actually format all headings and paragraph styles etc. It literally needs changing everything, bc everything is automatically set to be black on white. So bullets, numbering, all of it. So I'll do the bare minimum only , and then paste it all into my 'proper' academic template.
if anyone has one to share, please do!
