I've seen this occasionally as I'm still getting comfortable with Mellel and how it operates, etc.. I was going to insert an image to show what I'm seeing but I don't think the forum sw allows image uploads. So I'll just describe what I'm seeing.. In a paragraph where the last line is short and I'm using paragraph alignment that is justified (right most icon), it adds a ton of spaces between the words.
I did find that in the paragraph styles there is an option called "minimum word spacing" which starts at 100%.. If I lower that to perhaps 80% then it behaves correctly and the paragraph doesn't look so weird. Is that the proper way to fix such an issue at the end of a paragraph where the last sentence is fairly short?
I just thought I'd check.. thx!
Another question about paragraph line behaviors...
