(I can't find a request for this in the forum. Excuse me if this is duplicate.)
I have grown quite accustomed to the "Search Tray/Drawer" in OmniOutliner, as well as in Apple's Pages and Preview apps. It is *very* handy to see all instances of a search term at once in that column.
It needn't be a drawer proper; rather it could work as the current Outline View.
Is there any interest in such a feature among other users?

You are right that there hasn't been a thread specifically about this, but there was some discussion of it in a more general thread on the annoyance of found items behind the search dialogue: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?p=4294. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the first page.
