Cmd-Y

Post by Hendrix »

As a long time Word user (since 5.1, before that I loved WriteNow) and as someone who is transitioning to a Scrivener–Mellel sort of workflow, there's one thing I miss really from Microsoft software: cmd-Y, the "repeat whatever action" command. Maybe it's just I got used to it, maybe some other ways of working are better. I certainly wish to have cross-referencing, non-modal autotitle/outline editing and (please!) multilingual spell-checking, which are much more important. But does Mellel have an equivalent I'm missing? Am I the only one to miss this feature? I'm no expert, but is it hard to implement?

Thanks again for such a nice piece of software

command-Y is already used for switching to Bookends so it would not be a good idea, to change that. command-Y in Bookends inserts the citation and switcheds back to Mellel.

Since Cmd-Z is Undo, Cmd-Shift-Z is Redo, I would suggest Cmd-Opt-Z as the shortcut for Do Again.

Hello

Just to put it clear, what I miss is the functionality, not the specific keyboard shortcut. Cmd-opt-Z would could be a good option.
