Text wrap around tables OR text box associated to figure

This is just an update of an old request from me and others (last time it was mentioned was 2020. First time I can find 2018). It would be extremely helpful for technical writing (in my case mostly grant applications). Of course a more elegant solution would be to allow linking a text box to a figure.
