Re: Feature request: split view

Split view is complex but it does look like something that is very highly requested. This feature is 100% sure to appear in Mellel, question is when, we'll consider making that soon.

Re: help with black vertical line

An addition to the helpful reply of Amontillado, you can also pause track changes. Click the pause button in the track changes bar and changes you make will not be tracked. So if you wish to insert a TOC without having to accept or reject all changes (as you would if you turned off track changes) yo...

Re: More colors for "Highlight notes on screen"

Implementing this is not very difficult. I've added this to the list of features to consider. I think allowing to set the color for footnote/endnote highlights should be grouped along with other hi-lighting colors like citations, auto-titles, formulas etc. This option should probably also be integra...

Re: Indexing based on a word-list

Thanks for elaborating on this.
Regarding export, note that if you export to docx, index marks are exported into msword index fields ({ XE "Samarcande" })

Re: Indexing based on a word-list

Re: The phpBB forum software and screenshots (to Eyal !)

I think the main reason for that is that it fills up the storage very quickly. I'll have a look at this and see what can be done.

Re: "Feature requests" or no "Feature requests". That is here the question…

Officially the best place to contact us for support and feature requests is by via the support form in the app or on the website. I will try to be more responsive in the forum going forward by stay assured that I am here, I'm listening and I'm working hard on Mellel, these things take time.

Re: Resizing vs. cropping, what happened?

In Mellel you have two fitting modes for images, "scale to fit" - the image is scaled to fit the frame, or "float in frame", the image is displayed in its original size and the frame controls how much of it is displayed (you might call it "crop"). At any rate, you can s...

Thanks for reporting this. I would like to request that such problem reports, especially with beta products, not to be reported on the forum but rather directly to us. When we have such reports "topping the bill" in the forum, people who are new to Mellel and considering purchasing might g...

Re: New Video: Configuring Auto-titles

Yes, If you have multiple style sets with same name styles inside, they should map and allow you to swap appearances at a flick of a switch. One thing to remember, make sure you have "match style by name" in the sheet that pops up when you apply a style set. Globalizing is done like that. ...

Re: New Video: Configuring Auto-titles

The key to understanding this is to understand the difference between modifying a style or making an override and then the difference between local style sets and global style sets. All styles in Mellel work in a similar fashion so a simple example might help. Let's take character styles: If you hav...
