Re: Printing & track changes margin line
I'm quite in favour of the current state of things. The same comment also holds for "original" view: you'll also have the sideline markers (and the bubbles in the annotation pane). It's indeed useful to compare various stages of documents and I find myself switching ever so often between p...

Re: Cross reference that shows auto title numbering
I don't understand the abbreviated explanation of verma. Can you be fuller in explaining to a beginner like me, or at least tell me the section or page in the User Guide? Thanks. Hi, sorry for that. It might help to look at Don's excellent Tutorial, at page 158 (pdf version), figure 264: in the &qu...

Re: Cross reference that shows auto title numbering
Did you check the Ref Format in the Edit title Flows? It should work no problem, if all your settings are correct.
If your Ref formats are good, and you select the cross-reference under "auto-titles" then it should work all-rightish.
Let me know.
best regards!

Re: Making a table and its caption float
just want to second this - pictures usually do have captions, and they should float together. I made the same point here some weeks ago: http://forum.redlers.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2067 hope we'll get this in 2.8 Well, OK but when you really "float" an image, then you can either set ...

Re: Track Changes, what would you like to have?
It seems that a "flatter," clean way (similar, in a way, to written comments on paper) would have been the way you'd like it. Am I right? That would certainly be the way I like it: I consider it also real lazy editing if students/colleagues just have to click "accept" and they'r...

Could it be that some images are missing from the .mellel version?

Re: Mellel 2.7 around the corner...
On the subject of "track changes", I don't really follow. There's one good thing about it, as far as I see it, and that's collaborative editing. But that would require everyone has Mellel (editing in anything other than Mellel or LaTeX is prone to cause endless frustration...), and that's ...

Re: What's happened to the separator lines?
After upgrading to 2.7, I've found that the separator lines between the main text and footnotes have disappeared in all my documents (or at least all the ones I have checked so far), and resetting the separator line does not bring it back. Has anyone else experienced this? And, more importantly, ho...

Re: Snow Leopard Crashes and Problems
I am glad you are back in business but honestly can't believe you updated to a new "point version" of OS 10 while writing your dissertation. Agreed! Although to hype and marketing may indicate there is no danger in a full major version upgrade, there is still always the risk. Never update...

Re: Applying Character format to a reference - bug?
Applying a font variation to a cross-reference title/format: is indeed a bug (you can vary using the non-sticky bold/italics, but somehow the font variation defined for the autotitle cannot be changed in the cross-reference). The bug has already been reported (it typically does not affect CR to page...

Re: Auto-title (figure) in table cell?
in the current build (b18): no autotitles in table cells. You can of course add images to tables, and it allows inlined images with or without wrap.

Re: 2.7 beta: any way to make captions move?
If you want your text "glued" to your image, best option I guess is to make a table with colums (invisible lines) so both will move as one unit. You can have inline wrap inside a table as well. that's what I thought as well. Placed my image into a table with one cell, invisible borders. B...

Re: 2.7 beta: any way to make captions move?
You can now drag around your Autotitles just about anywhere. (right of image, left of image, use tabs etc.) - is that of any help? I'm afraid, not really... what I need is attaching some text, say, a paragraph of 5-7 lines, to (under, beneath) one or several images, and manage them as ONE floating ...

Re: 2.7 beta: any way to make captions move?
first of all: floating images and text wrap are working like a charm. Thanks 1000 times, Redlers! Now maybe I just don't manage to figure it out: if I want my captions or any other bit of text to float around with the image (that's how we use images in writing usually, I suppose), how can I do this...
