Re: How do Mellel users take notes?
I sometimes have two Mellel docs side by side: one for notes, one for writing.

Re: Mellel + ePub - your thoughts and requests
I made an eBook a couple of years ago, I created an ePub in Pages.app. It did a good job of auto-creating a table of contents accessible through the iBooks menu, clickable footnotes, and allowed the first page to become a cover image. From memory I then used Calibre.app to convert it to .mobi , for ...

Mellel.mdimporter & Catalina
Hi all, I just got the pop-up window saying: "“Mellel.mdimporter” is not optimised for your Mac. Suggests that it is 32 bit. Its in /Library/Spotlight/ Does anyone know if this particular file is from the current version of Mellel (and hence needs updating). Or might this be old cruft from a pr...

Re: Using/Printing comments
File > Print > PDF > "Save as PDF" . This will give you comments in the margin of the PDF.
File > Export > PDF... (then uncheck "annotations") . This gives a clean document without comments shown.
Is this what you're after?

Re: Stop Creating New Documents. Please...
If you set preference to "Open template browser," it has a folder for "recent documents" in LH column... And if you "command-O" from template browser, then template browser disappears, and "open" dialogue is there in its place. ...so doesn't this achieve what ...

Re: iOS Mellel and Dropbox?
AFAIK Dropbox has not implemented the iOS "Document Provider" API, so you can't open, edit, save in apps direct from dropbox in iOS apps (eg. iOS Pages is in the same situation). This is discussed in Dropbox forum: https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/API-support/Does-Dropbox-support-the-UIDocu...

Re: The Holiday announcement
I understand that depending on WHEN you bought Mellel you either have:
[*]Free updates for life, OR
[*]Free updates for two years
I assume Mellel 4.0 just continues this policy.
Its all spelled out here: http://www.mellel.com/blog/free-updates-note

Yes, there is:
In Mac System Preferences > General, ensure "Close windows when quitting an app" is UNCHECKED.
Then, in Mellel, with the document opened, quit Mellel using command-Q
When you open mellel again, the document should return.

Re: Cmd space not working even after disabling in spotlight
I know this is not exactly what you're asking for, but I have set CMD+L as a global keyboard switcher (System Preferences>keyboard>Shortcuts>input sources) and this way I can switch between languages just fine. (This also requires Mellel>preferences>language>"Synchronise language and keyboard&q...

Re: page numbers of a text
I think what you want is to go to:
pallette>page>attributes>start at
In this box you can set the starting page number for a section.
