Thanks Eyal, this makes many things clear to me. Is that always the case with new upgrades, or was this something only between 2.1 and 2.2 ?

Thanks for your next suggestion, Reiner. But this is not done so easily as the other computer is in Indonesia running on OS 10.2 and Mellel 2.1 and at this time it is not possible to get it upgraded by now (many there are happy to get a 50kb email downloaded in 20 Minutes by the download capacities ...

Format Stability from Mellel to Mellel?
I have sent a Mellel-File (about 300 pages with quite komplex formatting) written with Mellel 2.2.5 to someone, who still uses Mellel 2.1 No I get the report from him, that the format doesn't look the same anymore after his has opened my fille (compared to the same pdf file version, which I have als...

That helped! My mistake was to give an new name to the format indeed, but not realizing that it was set back automatically to the same format-set, where it was derived originally as this was preset. After putting the new format into a new created format-set, the problem was solved. I assume, this is...

strange? behaviour from making new template out of old ones
Hi, I have made several different templates out of an existing one. But as soon as I change some settings (eg. size of font) in one of these templates, these changes appear in all other of these templates too! This looks strange and unuseful for me as so far I haven't grouped them to format sets. Do...

Thanks for making it happen
Half a year ago I have asked about the Mellel-Guide in German, which was stuck by that time. But as you may have seen on the download section, now it is available! Thanks to the ones of you, who have worked hard on it to make it happen, especially Martin. It is great to have the guide even for versi...

Thank you Timotheus, for your helpful explanation and your little update for us new ones about this issue. Well this is a real setback for me (and it seems not just me) using Mellel, because it forces me to use formatting in my new book in a way, I really don't like. I have many small illustrations ...

footnotes in section break
After a section break, Mellel attaches in my document its related footnotes straight at the end of each section. How can I make section breaks, but still keep all footnotes at the bottom of each page? Thanks for someone who helps me in this. I am still quite new to Mellel, therefore sorry for such p...

German Handbook
Actually 16 sections of the existing (unfinished) version of the German manual have to be worked on to get to the recent update 2.1.2, with is about 97 pages of work to be done. But 14 sections have already been taken by some of us, so just 2 (!) sections are left to be taken as follows: Section: Fi...

I forgot about the automatic generating of the section A (Table of Content)... Well, therefore I could take section C (238-252) as I work with Bookends.

German Handbook
Ori has send me the recent German temp. Handbook. I have checked it, what is still missing. There are 4 parts missing: p.3-13, 106-113, 265-279, 286-299. This is a total amount of 45 pages which should be a shame, if we don't finish that up. I take a start in taking p.3-13. Who follows?
